When is it?
High Stakes is one of our most unpredictable nights on the calendar taking place on Saturday 4th May.


Where is it?
High Stakes will be at the home of MCW, The Thornbury Theatre, 859 High St, Thornbury.


How do I get there?
The Thornbury Theatre is on the 86 tram line. If you’re coming from the city, get off at the Blythe St / High St stop; if you’re coming from the north, get off at the Collins St / High St stop. If you’re coming via train, the Thornbury train station is only a 5 minute walk.


What time does it start?
Doors open at 6pm. The show starts at 7pm.


Where can I get a drink?
The best place to get a pre-show drink is at the Thornbury Taphouse, directly underneath The Thornbury Theatre. Reserve a Table: https://www.opentable.com/r/thornbury-taphouse-thornbury


Can I still get tickets?
Yes, but you’ll have to be quick. There are limited Silver and GA Standing Room Only tickets still available at MCWTix.com.au


Is the event all ages?
Yes, but we recommend those under the age of 16 to be accompanied by an adult.


Can I watch Icons at home?
High Steaks will be streaming both on Triller+ and Stream Horizon on Friday 10th May from 7:30pm AEST.


What matches are happening at High Stakes?

MCW World Heavyweight Championship #1 Contender Match: Tommy Knight vs. Caveman Ugg
After their match at Icons ended early due to the interference of Slex, they battle again – this time to see who will face Slex for his championship.

World Tag Team Championship: The ICON$ (C) vs. The Natural Classics
Following their successful defence against The Parea, MCW GM Rocky Menero and Adam Brooks defend against another set of former tag champs – Stevie and Tome Filip – The Natural Classics.

Women’s Championship: DELTA (C) vs. Erika Reid
The relentless Delta faces her first challenger for her Women’s Championship in a little while, and The Dreamtime Voodoo Witch is more than a worthy contender.

Tuckman vs. Robbie Thorpe
Robbie Thorpe has taken interesting counsel in the form of MCW GM Rocky Menero as he prepares to face Sydney’s well-respected Tuckman.

Edward Dusk vs. Lucky O’Leary
Dusk continues his quest towards the MCW World Heavyweight Championship, but his next opponent might have luck on his side.

Mitch Waterman vs. Mick Moretti
At Icons, Waterman beat both of Mick Moretti’s proteges, but now he takes on the main man himself.

Jarvis vs. The Shensational Shen
The new Junior Vice President of General Management has chosen his own opponent in the spectacular and Shensational Shen.


What matches have additional stakes to them?
They all do! Before each match, the Big Wheel will spin, and where it lands will determine the stakes for the match. And those stakes could dramatically change things!
