It’s rapidly approaching crisis time for Robbie Thorpe.
The big Englishman is usually full of self-confidence, as you’d expect from someone who calls themselves The Gift. But despite some very strong showings, Thorpe is still waiting for his first breakthrough win in MCW.
Desperate times call for desperate measures and following his narrow loss to Edward Dusk at Icons, Thorpe has turned to an Icon for help – none other than MCW General Manager and current Tag Team Champion Rocky Menero.
Menero has stated that he’ll look after Thorpe, and perhaps the first sign of that will become apparent in Thorpe’s next match, as he faces one of the breakout stars of Sydney wrestling making his first appearance at MCW.
While The Tuckman might be best known for his beer drinking, party loving ways, there’s some serious skills in his arsenal too. He’s the current Soul of PWA Champion, a championship previously held by Mick Moretti and Cherry Stephens among others, and he’s faced some of the best talents across the country.
Now he’s here to show MCW that he can wrestle as well as he can party, that is unless Thorpe manages to spoil the party once and for all.
Both men are looking to make an impact at High Stakes, but their fates will hinge on a spin of the wheel – wherever it lands will introduce a stipulation that could drastically change how each man approaches the match.
An interstate wrestler in front of a new crowd vs a man badly needing a win – it’s going to be a compelling match with so much on the line!
