High Stakes – Tag Team Championship

If the last event proved anything, it’s that the Icon$ are completely on top right now. Slex is the World Heavyweight Champion and Adam Brooks and Rocky Menero hold the MCW Tag Team Championship.

But while they’re on top right now, that also means that they have targets on their backs.

It’s no surprise that after Brooks and Menero successfully defended their Tag Team Championship against The Parea, it was the Natural Classics who came out to stand up to the Icon$.

After all, Stevie and Tome Filip have been on top of the tag team scene for quite a few years now, holding the MCW Tag Team Championship twice during that time.

The Taiga and the Phoenix have proven that their will is unbreakable, and few teams in the world are as smooth as the Filips are in the ring.

But the Icon$ represent a different type of challenge – the combination of supreme in-ring skills, the willingness to completely ignore the rulebook, and with MCW GM Menero – the authority to get away with it.

The two teams each have compelling if completely different reasons why they could walk out with the belts, but what will make things even more interesting is the unpredictability of High Stakes.

The Natural Classics have stated they are willing to go “All In” but with the power (and numbers) on the Icon$ side which team will be able to deal with the unknown the best?

High Stakes takes place on Saturday 4th May from the Thornbury Theatre. (859 High Street, Thornbury VIC 3071)
