MCW Tag Team Championship

It’s hardly an overstatement to say that the events of MCW Anniversary weekend not just shocked the MCW faithful, but also the entire MCW locker room.

It’s also no overstatement to say that the landscape has been shifted dramatically.

We now have a clear ruling class in MCW – three men who live up to the accolade of icon, even if their recent actions mean they might not deserve it right now.

Slex, Adam Brooks and Rocky Menero – the new World Heavyweight Champion and Tag Team Champions respectively. And then you have the wildcard that is Jarvis – a man who thinks he lives up to the name icon, even if his burgeoning career might not match up to the others in the group.

It’s a clear and devastating moving of the goalposts within MCW.

But don’t think that the rest of the locker room are taking this lying down. One team who have never been shy in expressing their opinion are The Parea.

After the actions of Menero at the end of Night 2 saw them lose their Tag Team Championship, but firmly get the love of the crowd in the process, the calculating Eli Theseus and the unhinged Gabriel Aeros are determined to not just get their hands on Brooks and Menero once more but take back what they undeservedly lost as well.

And while the pedigree of Menero and Brooks is hard to argue with, there’s no doubt that 2023 was the year of The Parea as they won championships not just in MCW, but right across the country.

Plus, Rocky knows first hand just how hard they can be to defeat when they have a target in their sights.
Make no mistake, The Parea have The Icons in their sights.

It may not be pretty, it may not be a technical classic, but what we can say is that this will be a war.
Two teams that are surprisingly evenly matched, and two teams that know how to do anything to win, regardless of the rulebook.

The Icons vs The Parea – this is going to be a battle we’ll be talking about for years to come!

MCW Icons comes to the Thornbury Theatre on Saturday 30th March at 7pm.
