We all watched as ‘The Taiga’ Tome Filip and ‘The Phoenix’ Stevie Filip reunited during the Ballroom Brawl, and the brothers quickly showed why they’ve been one of Australia’s best tag teams of the last decade.
Two-time MCW tag team champions, they’ve wrestled all over Australia and even tested themselves overseas as they create an international reputation as strong as their local one.
But there is an Australian wrestler who has already built his international reputation – The Sniper of the Skies Robbie Eagles.
Not only is he a former MCW Intercommonwealth Champion and a 3-time PWA Heavyweight Champion, but he’s won gold in New Japan Pro Wrestling too, having held the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship with Tiger Mask.
Now part of the fabled TMDK stable in NJPW (a stable that has its own history in MCW), he returns to MCW for the first time since winning it all at PWA x MCW Colosseum last year, and he’s not coming alone, bringing rising NJPW star and fellow TMDK member Kosei Fujita to MCW for the first time.
Only 21 years old, Fujita is one of a new generation of NJPW wrestlers determined to become the cornerstones of the Japanese promotion, and he’s already gaining a lot of attention both in Japan and across the globe.
But while Team TMDK may have success in Japan, Tome and Stevie Filip are ready to show them that in MCW, there are none better than the Natural Classics, and they’d love nothing more to show that they’re still a team to be reckoned with.
Who would bet against them with so much at stake?
One team with an International reputation that precedes them; one team reunited to show why their reputation is so well deserved.
This is a battle that has pride and recognition on the line.
