MCW Anniversary – Caveman Ugg vs. Mick Moretti

An old rivalry with a new feel.

Over the last few years, there have been few wrestlers that have proven themselves quite like Mick Moretti and Caveman Ugg have.

Both have been champions in MCW and beyond, both have been at the forefront of the next wave of Australian wrestlers to gain overseas attentions, and both have been in countless wars right across the country.

But things are a little different these days; Mick Moretti has become a teacher of sorts as he leads his new faction Shadow Alley in MCW, showing his young students Snap and Crackle the many ways to win, even if they don’t always align with the rules.

As one of the most experienced wrestlers in the country, there’s an endless amount of lessons Mick can teach, even if he’s hardly the most conventional of teachers.

Plus, there’s also the small matter of Moretti distracting Ugg in the battle royal to determine the #1 contender to the Intercommonwealth Championship at End Game.

Thanks to the distraction of Mick Moretti, Shadow Alley eliminated Ugg from the #1 Contender Battle Royal at End Game.

Meanwhile, Caveman Ugg has also shown signs of evolution in recent months. This looks to be a smarter, more communicative, and more confident Ugg than we’re used to, which combined with his prodigious in-ring skills, makes him more capable than ever before.

As one of the most powerful wrestlers in the country, when you combine his strength with these new-found smarts, this could be a completely different wrestler than we’ve seen in the past.

This was made evident when Ugg evened the odds in the match between Shadow Alley and the Natural Classics at End Game when another damn clown interfered on Shadow Alley’s behalf.

Which means that this is going to be a battle unlike any we’ve seen before – a more intelligent evolution of Ugg going up against Moretti, with his students in tow.
