He might be a relatively new face in MCW, but “The Gift” certainly knows how to make an impact.
Robbie Thorpe thought he was going to face MCW General Manager Rocky Menero in Menero’s first match in over a year at End Game.
But the wily veteran outsmarted the young challenger as Menero donned a referee’s shirt and put Thorpe into an impromptu match against DELTA.
While the young Brit put up a hell of a fight, it was DELTA who got the win to infuriate Thorpe even more. After the match Thorpe let his frustrations boil over and attacked Menero with a vicious submission.
But did Thorpe misjudge things?
This time Thorpe is getting what he wants – a one-on-one match against Menero, a man who will be making a long-awaited comeback at Anniversary.
But Menero isn’t just going to step back in the ring, he’s also out for revenge, and this might be a different version of Rocky than Robbie is expecting.
Thorpe may have youth and size on his side, but Menero brings experience and an unmatched will to win. And it’s these factors that make this match such a hard one to call.
