Lucky O’Leary was ready to take on the world at this year’s Ballroom Brawl, introducing himself to the MCW faithful and issuing an open challenge as a ‘body guy’.
It was The Universal Swoldier who answered the challenge in a surprise return, as fan favourite Mikey Broderick was able to defeat Lucky before the Ballroom Brawl match later in the evening.
The crowd may have loved watching Mikey get the victory but we know it had to have hit Lucky hard, who now has a second chance to get onto the winner’s list.
Standing opposite him is a mainstay of MCW, and someone who’s no stranger to being a champion – Stevie Filip. The Phoenix returns on Saturday 9th September and he’s been aching to really make his mark on the singles division.
Perhaps Stevie shouldn’t underestimate just what Lucky can do in the ring as the newcomer certainly has a bright future ahead and a victory could change his future in just one night.
One thing we know for sure is that this promises to be an entertaining match at MCW Ascension when we return to the Thornbury Theatre.
