He thought it was all over, but one last challenge could change everything.
At Ballroom Brawl, Edward Dusk welcomed Rocky Menero into The Sacrament, and despite Menero using every trick he could think of, and even involved none other than Tony Villani in his scheme, it was Dusk who walked away the victor – giving Dusk the prize of a match of his choosing in the process.
But one thing we’ve learnt over the years, is that Dusk is done when he says he’s done, and at Vendetta he’s setting Menero one last challenge.
Over a year ago Dusk set himself the goal of becoming the MCW World Heavyweight Champion, and he’s come close but has never got the chance to claim the ultimate prize. So conventional wisdom would think that with the ability to choose his own match, he’d instantly choose to face Caveman Ugg. But Dusk isn’t as predictable as that.
Instead, he wants Menero one last time. And this time, he needs to prove that he’s the better wrestler once and for all.
No gimmicks. No shortcuts. Just a one-on-one wrestling match to prove to himself that he is superior, and in the process prove that he’s ready to take on Ugg for the championship.
For Menero this is the perfect opportunity to expose Dusk for being the fraud he’s always believed him to be, and with his new ally Villani by his side, he may just do it.
After all, just because Dusk wants to keep it one-on-one, it doesn’t mean Menero does. In some ways, this challenge from Dusk puts the power back in Menero’s hands – and as the MCW General Manager, he’s used to handling power.
Will Dusk vs Menero 3 be the stage that proves Dusk is ready to sit on top of the wrestling world, or will it demonstrate that Menero is already on top, and staying there?
