Two men. One goal. Zero restraint.
Talk about making an impact; Ricky South made one hell of a return to MCW at Ballroom Brawl. Not only did he get a singles win against the always formidable Mikey Broderick, but then he backed it up with his biggest win to date in MCW – he won the 2024 Ballroom Brawl match.
After throwing DELTA over the top rope to win, Ricky immediately set his sights on an even bigger prize – the MCW World Heavyweight Championship. Through his Ballroom Brawl win, he’s got the ability to challenge for the title at any time within the next 12 months.
The ball is entirely in his court. But before he makes his challenge, he’s determined to get rid of one of his main competitors.
At the start of 2024, Edward Dusk made his intentions clear – he wanted the MCW World Heavyweight Championship.
Since that time, he’s had some impressive wins over the likes of Robbie Thorpe and Lucky O’Leary, and with each win he inches closer to gaining the opportunity to challenge for that title. But Ricky South could present the biggest test for Dusk since his legendary matches against Adam Brooks.
However, Dusk has also shown that he can get the win against anyone, and as he proved during his run of Sacrament matches, he’ll do whatever it takes to achieve that win. South should definitely be taking notice.
In Ricky South you have one man who is the embodiment of a steamroller – formidable, relentless, nigh unstoppable. In Edward Dusk you have a man who has an indefatigable will to win, a disregard for the rulebook, and no concern for his well-being.
It’s a match-up that promises something special, and whoever wins will firmly be in the box-seat for the MCW World Heavyweight Championship.
MCW Vendetta comes live from the Thornbury Theatre on Saturday 7th September.
