Following her shocking victory over Erika Reid at End Game to claim the MCW Woman’s Championship, Eugenie returns to MCW to mark her first title defence.
Eugenie won the championship in surprisingly dominant fashion, stunning both Erika and the MCW faithful in the process. So, we can understand if she’s feeling on top of the world right now.
But what she’s about to learn, and what a former champ like Erika already knows, is that when you’re on top – everyone is gunning for you.
This lends itself to some big questions.
The first is how will Eugenie fare when she has to keep the title rather than trying to win it?
The second is who is her first challenger?
Aysha hasn’t been seen in MCW since her series of matches against Erika across late 2023 / early 2024, but we know that when she’s in an MCW ring, she’s always a dangerous threat.
At High Stakes, she knows that there’s no better way to make an impact than by winning a championship.
She’s got all the tools to beat anyone on her day, and Eugenie shouldn’t underestimate her opponent. And there’s a third big question to be answered – what will Eugenie do when an unpredictable factor is entered into the mix?
MCW General Manager Rocky Menero has agreed for Erika Reid to be the special guest referee in this match, and considering her history with both women, we expect her to be firm but fair throughout this match.
Unless of course either opponent really push against the rules – then we may see the more emotional side of Erika.
It’s a first-time match – Eugenie and Aysha have never faced off before – and it’s one that we’ve been anticipating for months!
High Stakes is live from the Thornbury Theatre on Saturday 17th May.
