It couldn’t last.
We were always quite surprised that The Clydesdale was able to coerce The Physicals to do his dirty work in his feud against Anth Cava, but following New Horizons where Cava was able to get the better of the ‘Dale, the partnership between The Physicals and The Clydesdale was ended.
And we’re pretty happy about it – The Physicals are too good of a team to go down the path of breaking the rules to win. The team of Jimmy Castle and Johnny Jetts have energy for days, a high-flying style, and before they got involved with The Clydesdale, they really had the support of the fans.
But now Jimmy and Johnny have to put a final end to that relationship, and that’s by beating The Clydesdale at High Stakes.
However, while we know that The ‘Dale won’t be turning up at High Stakes alone, we don’t know who he’s teaming up with. It does mean that The Physicals won’t have the numbers advantage; in fact you could argue that The Clydesdale will have the overall advantage – how can the Physicals prepare for an unknown opponent?
And for all his faults, one thing you can’t fault The Clydesdale on is his in ring talents. He’s no stranger to tag team wrestling, and you can be sure that he’ll want to make an example of his former friends. Or at least former colleagues.
Also, don’t forget about The Big Wheel. At High Stakes it will spin, and it could spin up a stipulation that could change things in a huge way.
There’s a lot of unknowns about this match, and that just makes us more intrigued.
High Stakes is live from the Thornbury Theatre on Saturday 23rd May.
