If you’ve been paying attention, you’ll notice that Nate Hunter is steadily making a name for himself. From strong showings on pre-show matches, through to standout performances in battle royales and scramble matches, Nate had just been waiting for that one big win to really announce to the world that he had arrived.
And then at New Horizons, he got it.
After defeating JJ Furno and Magnus Kolbeck – two men also making strong claims for their stake in the future of MCW – Nate Hunter is looking to maintain that momentum, by getting a win against a really established name.
Well, he’s getting what he wants.
We don’t need to tell you just how popular Lucas Fantasia is; he’s been getting some of the biggest reactions we’ve ever seen in the Thornbury Theatre, and even though he came up short at Sunday Showcase, you can be sure that he’s going to use High Stakes to rebound and reset ready for the Ballroom Brawl.
But then again, Nate’s also looking to get himself in a winning position for the biggest show of the year.
So, you’ve got two men who have a need to get a win at High Stakes, and they’re surprisingly evenly matched – both have speed on their side, and both have the hunger that youth brings.
Plus, there’s also the unpredictability of High Stakes; before the match The Big Wheel will spin, and it could spin up a stipulation that changes everything, or even a consequence that could impact the Ballroom Brawl.
