It wasn’t that long ago that we were constantly saying that while Lucky O’Leary had all the talent necessary to be a star, he just couldn’t get that first MCW win.
That was until we got to Fight to Survive back in October, where Lucky finally got the win over The Tuckman.
And like many predicted, once he got that first win, there was no looking back for him.
He’s now on a three-match winning streak, he’s now an official member of the ICON$, and he’s seemingly on the path to many future glories.
Assuming, of course, that he keeps on winning.

At High Stakes however, he has a tough challenge on his hands, because another man has the hunger to win that Lucky knows all too well.
In recent months, Lucas Fantasia has been a welcome and flamboyant addition to MCW, but at both Fight to Survive and End Game, he came up short.
Now he’s desperately searching for his first MCW win, and Lucky should be careful of underestimating Fantasia.
He’s held championship gold in EPW in Perth, and we have a feeling that he’s out to claim a championship here too. His first step in that goal – defeat the newest ICON. Hell of a way to make an impact!
In the ring, both men clearly have talent – Lucky has a strength advantage, while Lucas has speed on his side. For the first time one-on-one at High Stakes, we’ll see who can emerge victorious.
This is going to be a truly crucial match for both men.
High Stakes is live from the Thornbury Theatre on Saturday 17th May.
