The landscape for the MCW Women’s division completely changed at Vendetta.
After months of antagonism between them, Erika Reid regained the Women’s Championship from Eugenie, becoming a two-time Women’s champ in the process.
And this win really was the culmination of a massive journey for Erika. During her first reign, it was clear to see how much being the champion meant to her, but her time as champion was cut short just as she was really hitting her stride, both in the ring and outside of it.
Now Erika gets a second chance to show the rest of MCW what she can do as the champ. A fierce competitor in the ring, and a true ambassador outside of it – she’s determined to make the second reign even greater than the first.
But at Vendetta, we also saw a new #1 Contender decided, as Shay Kassidy got the win over Aysha. And when you talk about the most improved wrestlers of 2025, Kassidy is sure to be near the top of the list.
Her move into singles competition has certainly seen her take a step forward in the ring, and that was evident in her match against Aysha (someone else who has improved a lot in 2025).
Now at Fight to Survive she gets a chance to challenge Reid for the championship, and we think the crowd is going to be as intriguing as the in-ring action.
No-one can deny the sheer love the MCW faithful have for Reid, but they also have a lot of fun whenever Shay arrives in MCW – from her catchy theme song to her impromptu concert.
No matter if you think Erika will stay champ, or you think Shay will head straight to the top, we think this will be the next chapter in a rivalry that could continue for months and even years to come.
