They may have come up short at Vendetta, but there’s no doubt that the Natural Classics made one hell of a statement. Before the bell even rang, they took out Mitch Waterman by knocking him out with a flak jacket, and just like that Tome and Stevie Filip showed a vicious new attitude.
We’ll admit that we don’t understand it – they have the talent to win on their own merits; they have the experience to understand what it takes to become champions; they have the reputation that has seen them face the best in New Japan Pro Wrestling. So why have they turned their backs on the fans?
Maybe we’ll get the answer we need soon.
One team who the MCW faithful are certainly in the corner of are The Physicals.
The young team of Jimmy Castle and Johnny Jetts have been a highlight throughout 2025, as many have followed their progression from appearances in the pre-show match through to being a deserved part of the main card. The future is certainly bright for them.
But the Classics have seen it all before – a hot young team trying to make a name for themselves.
The Filip brothers are going to be damn sure that no-one’s going to get by at their expense. The Natural Classics are tough opponents at the best of times, but when they’ve got a fearsome new attitude – that only amplifies things.
So maybe this could be the perfect opportunity for Castle and Jetts? After all, if they can get the win against the Classics here, that’s certainly going to make the rest of the MCW locker pay attention to them, not least the MCW Tag Team Champions – Water Rapids.
Two teams at very different stages of their career, but both who need to deliver a message to the rest of the wrestling world. But only one is going to be able to do so.
It’s an intriguing battle, that’s for sure.
