There has been a lot said about the current strength of pro-wrestling in Australia. Those in the know understand that the best in Australia can mix it up with the best from overseas.
The next generation of talent has a larger spotlight on them than ever before – the opportunities are greater than they’ve ever been, and the world is taking notice. So, there’s no better way to showcase some of the future and at Fight to Survive we’ll see the following battle it out in a scramble match!
First up, let’s kick it off with one half of the current MCW Tag Team Champions Ryan Rapid. He’s challenged for the Intercommonwealth Championship and came very close to winning. And let’s not forget that he won that opportunity in a different type of multi-man match at Endgame last year, so he knows how to face challengers from all angles.
Another man that has that championship mentality is The Dropouts’ Scotty Green – he’s won both singles and tag-team championships across his career so far. Sure, he likes to have a bit of fun in the ring, but anyone who doesn’t take him seriously is in for a shock, because you can be damn sure that he wants to show that he deserves the spotlight just as much as his Dropouts partner The Tuckman.
A man that personifies danger is MJ Russo; the former Zedd Nitrox may have a new name, but he’s lost none of the talent that made him one of the most intriguing young wrestlers in the country. He’s been looking for a breakout performance in MCW, and this could be the perfect opportunity.
One man who has been making waves throughout the local scene makes his MCW debut in this match – Nate Hunter. Many have him tipped as someone to keep an eye on, and he’s determined to make as big as impact as possible on the biggest stage of his career so far. We think everyone is going to learn just why he’s so highly rated.
Johari is a man who only recently made his debut in an MCW ring, in the pre-show match at Vendetta, but the Roaring Taniwha is already a compelling presence in the ring. He has a unique in-ring style to go with his striking look, and that could be the difference maker between him and his opponents.
Finally, we have a wrestler with more experience than everyone else in the match; it’s been quite a while since Adelaide’s Matt Hayter has been in an MCW ring, but he’s here to show why he’s one of the most highly regarded wrestlers in the country, and one of the most daring ones too.
