Throughout 2025, Jarvis has had a singular focus – take down the ICON$. And the year started with promise; at Anniversary – he beat Rocky Menero, at High Stakes – he defeated Robbie Thorpe.
But at the Ballroom Brawl, his quest got derailed, when he mistakenly thought he won the Brawl by eliminating Thorpe, only for Thorpe to send Jarvis over the top rope to win the whole thing.
It was a defeat that has echoed long and hard in Jarvis’ mind over the last few months, and we saw evidence of that at Vendetta, when following Thorpe’s win over Tommy Knight, Jarvis appeared on the screen to issue a challenge at Fight to Survive – the ICON$ vs The Greatest Team.
So, in theory, this should be easy to predict. On one hand you have an established unit that has run roughshod over MCW for the last couple of years – they know how each other works, and they’ve shown that they’ll do whatever it takes to get the win.
On the other hand we have a team where we only know one member – Jarvis. It’s going to be hard to build a 5 man team that operates cohesively at the best of times, let alone facing a unit as formidable as the ICON$.
But that doesn’t tell the whole story. In recent times we’ve seen some cracks in the ICON$ – Thorpe and Menero aren’t really on the same page anymore, Slex was eliminated in Ballroom Brawl by Robbie Thorpe and the forced together team of Lucky O’Leary and Lucas Fantasia – well they just don’t like each other.
And as for Jarvis, there’s no shortage of people who the ICON$ have screwed over during their reign of terror. Maybe revenge is reason enough to get everyone on the same page, no matter who they are.
Throw in the inherent unpredictability of an elimination match, and this is a 5 on 5 match that we can’t wait to see.
