War has been declared, and the forces are amassing their troops.
It feels like before every single MCW event, we talk about the domination of the ICON$.
They keep on winning; they keep on holding titles, and they keep on growing their faction, becoming stronger with each new member.
Before it was just Slex, Adam Brooks and MCW General Manger Rocky Menero. Now, Robbie Thorpe is firmly in the group, and they’ve got a working arrangement with both Ricky South, and Jon-Bernard and Nick Kairouz.
Plus, there’s also the constant presence of Jarvis. That’s quite a conglomerate!
Outwardly, things are fantastic for the ICON$, but the reality might be a little different.
Recently we’ve seen clear tension between various members of the group, notably between Adam Brooks and the other members. Rocky Menero has done well to paper over the cracks, but how long can that continue?
Meanwhile, on the other side of the ring, so far, we know that Edward Dusk, The Parea and Caveman Ugg will be part of the team, but who else will step up? And possibly more importantly, if they’re still yet to build a team, how cohesive will they be on the night?
There is no shortage of people in the MCW locker room who would like to get their hands on the ICON$, but no matter people’s feelings, you still need to build a team that can match up to an undeniably powerful force in MCW.
With Rocky Menero now withdrawn and MCW World Heavyweight Champion Slex in his place, the ICON$ have assembled a remarkably strong team, even if the combination of Brooks, Slex, South and the Kairouz Brothers is both unexpected and untested.
With the winning team choosing the stipulation for the MCW Tag Team Championship match at End Game this is going to be one of the biggest matches at the Thornbury Theatre in 2024!
