We had many questions after Fight to Survive, but one of the biggest ones was simply: why, Tommy?
When Jarvis named Tommy Knight as part of his Greatest Team to take on the ICON$, it made perfect sense. Tommy has had issues with members of the ICON$, but also – just look at the guy.
The Last Heavyweight lives up to his name – he’s big, he’s strong, he’s brutal. He’d be an asset to any team, no matter who was in it.
But following his elimination from the Fight to Survive match at the hands of Robbie Thorpe, the obviously frustrated Knight took it out not on the ICON$, but on Jarvis! Leaving him laying, Knight walked off stage to boos from the crowd, and to be honest, confusion from the rest of the MCW roster.
But perhaps there’s a method to Tommy’s madness. It was only a few months ago that he promised to wreak havoc on MCW, and maybe this was all part of the ruse – lull the rest of the MCW roster into a false sense of security before he unleashes violence.
If that’s the case, well mission accomplished. And it means that MCW is suddenly a lot more dangerous environment than ever before. But maybe Tommy shouldn’t too ahead of himself. If 2025 has proved anything, it’s that Jarvis has taken a definite step forward as a wrestler.
With the support of the MCW faithful, he’s shown that he can beat anyone on his day, and maybe beating someone as formidable as Tommy Knight will prove that ability once and for all.
We know that this is going to be a heated match – Jarvis wanting revenge, Tommy wanting to show how dangerous he can be.
We just hope that the Melbourne Pavilion is ready for what’s about to happen.
