If you could pick only one name to represent MCW throughout its long history, that name must surely be Slex.
The accolades are long – a former Ballroom Brawl winner, a two-time MCW Tag Team Champion; a two-time MCW Intercommonwealth Champion; and since his win against Buddy Matthews in February the only three-time and reigning MCW World Heavyweight Champion.
Put simply, Slex has been and continues to be The Business.
But when you’re on top, there’s a huge target on your back. And at End Game, Slex faces a man who has all the skills to beat him.
You see, when it comes to accolades, Caveman Ugg is no slouch either – a former MCW Tag Team Champion and a former MCW Intercommonwealth Champion too. Plus, you can’t ignore his near three-year reign as PWA Heavyweight Champion too.
And the world is starting to notice – Ugg recently made his debut in Japan for New Japan Pro Wrestling and made an immediate splash both in the ring and with the subsequent online reaction.
Both men have faced the best Australia has to offer; both men have faced the best the world has to offer; and in recent months, they’ve faced off against each other as well – at Vendetta in September, Slex managed to take out a win in a three-way match against Ugg and Tommy Knight; at Fight to Survive in October, Ugg pinned Slex to eliminate him in the Fight to Survive match. Which kind of puts them at 1-1.
But here’s the interesting thing, despite both men’s long history with MCW – they’ve never fought one-on-one in an MCW ring. Their only previous one-on-one match anywhere in Australia was over 6 years ago.
This is the match that both men have been building towards for months.
This is the match that the MCW faithful have been waiting years to see.
Caveman Ugg vs. Slex for the MCW World Heavyweight Championship – the biggest match Australian pro-wrestling has to offer for the biggest ever MCW event – End Game.
A match that has been years in the making is only days away!
The biggest event of the year – MCW End Game – will be at the Melbourne Pavilion on Sunday 8th December.
