Let’s take you back to Fight to Survive last year, where Caveman Ugg announced that he had to relinquish the MCW World Heavyweight Championship due to injury. It was a heartbreaking announcement, only mitigated slightly by Ugg’s promise that he’d return once he was able, and challenge for the championship once again.
Now, at the end of Clash of the Titans, following Robbie Thorpe’s successful defence of the World Championship against Matt Hayter, Ugg shockingly appeared on the big screen and laid down the challenge.
Thorpe vs Ugg. MCW World Championship. End Game.

Hell, we could end this preview here, and you’d have enough information to get excited about this match.
But in case you don’t know, this is why Ugg is such a dangerous competitor:
– He’s a big man, but despite his size, he’s remarkably agile in the ring, making him a different kind of beast compared to most men of his size.
– He’s got championship experience – he’s won multiple championships in MCW, and he knows just what to do to walk out of the Thornbury Theatre with gold around his waist.
– He’s a seasoned competitor, having faced most of the biggest names in Australian wrestling over the years.
But this is where it gets interesting; while no-one would say Ugg and Thorpe are even remotely similar wrestlers, all three of the above points apply just as well to Thorpe as they do Ugg. Thorpe just applies those attributes in a very different way than Ugg does, making this an instantly intriguing match-up.
And then you get to the unique factors of this match:
– Ugg is coming back from injury, so how well will he fare stepping into the MCW ring for the first time in over a year?
– Thorpe has been a dominant force in 2026; will he be too much of a force for Ugg to deal with?
– You can’t discount the Rocky Menero factor; Thorpe’s manager always manages to get involved in the match somehow, and he usually gets away with it.
It’s an undoubtedly huge match to main event End Game, and it’s also a first-time match-up – Thorpe and Ugg have never faced each other one-on-one before. Both men will have questions about the other that won’t be answered until the bell rings.
Put simply, there’s no better way for MCW to finish off 2026 than by giving you the current World Champion facing the former World Champion in a match for the biggest prize in Australian professional wrestling.
Trust us, this will sell out, and you need to be at the Thornbury Theatre on Saturday 7th November to witness this!
