One match changed everything!
Cast your mind back to last year’s Ballroom Brawl, where Jarvis came tantalisingly close to winning the whole thing, only for Robbie Thorpe to shockingly throw him over the top rope and claim the win for himself.
Such a narrow yet important loss could have sent Jarvis into a spiral – thinking about what could have been. Instead, he refocused on his ultimate goal – to win the MCW World Championship.
But when he got his chance at Anniversary, he fell short.
He couldn’t blame anyone but himself – not Robbie Thorpe, not Rocky Menero – on that night, Thorpe was the better man, and Jarvis tapped out. To add insult to injury, Thorpe said that was Jarvis’ only title shot for the entire year.
A lesser man would have taken it to heart, but once again, Jarvis regrouped, refocused and recommitted himself to his goal. And what better way to earn that title opportunity than by winning the 2026 Ballroom Brawl?
As we all know by now, Jarvis grabbed that opportunity with both hands, and walked out of the Melbourne Pavilion as the Ballroom Brawl winner.
Now, he just has to wait until he can face Robbie Thorpe in the ring one more time. He’s beaten him before, and he has to believe that he can do it again.
However, the Ballroom Brawl match wasn’t just about Jarvis.
Jamie Tagataese made a huge impact in the Brawl, throwing out man after man with apparent ease, instantly marking him as one of the most dangerous men in the MCW locker room. And you can be damn sure that The Big Man isn’t going to let the momentum pass him by. That’s why he’s set his sights on Jarvis – he can quickly further his fearsome reputation if he takes out Jarvis.
Of course, there’s another reason why he’d want to face Jarvis in the ring. Rocky Menero still has his bounty out on Jarvis.
If Tagataese puts Jarvis onto the injured list, not only does he solve a problem for Menero and Thorpe, but he walks away with a healthy wedge of cash to boot.
Call it mercenary, but Jamie would tell you it’s just smart business.
With the odds once again against him, will Jarvis show why he really is The Greatest, or will The Big Man be too big to fail?
