It’s hardly surprising that Edward Dusk’s reprehensible actions at Ballroom Brawl had an immediate impact within the MCW locker room. And we couldn’t help but notice that he deliberately targeted some of the biggest names in the promotion – Robbie Thorpe, Matt Hayter, Caveman Ugg, even our beloved referee Edwin; you can be damn sure that the rest of the MCW talent noticed that as well.
But here’s the thing about actions – they always come with consequences.
So yes, if Dusk was intending to send a message to the rest of MCW, then we can say with certainty that the message was received loud and clear. And while there will inevitably be some who understand why Dusk did what he did, the overwhelming sentiment is that Dusk crossed a line.
The only question is who will step up to deliver a bit of locker room justice?
That’s where Anth Cava comes into play. The two-sport sensation not only has the wild support of the MCW faithful behind him, but he has the skills and experience to deliver some physical punishment straight back at Dusk.
And if you’re looking to call a winner here, well – it gets interesting. While they’ve been mainstays of the MCW locker room for quite some time, they’ve never actually fought one-on-one before.
Both are clear physical specimens, and while Dusk has more wrestling experience, Cava has his boxing experience that he can tap into.
Perhaps the difference maker may be Dusk’s newfound willingness to circumvent the rules, if he can get it past the eyes of the MCW officials.
Cava will enter the ring to deliver retribution on behalf of the locker room; Dusk will enter the ring so he can continue causing chaos to get the recognition he thinks he deserves.
Very different motivations, but both with their own sense of righteousness behind them.
