Not once, but twice Shay Kassidy has been the victim of a cheap shot from Aysha – first, a bottle to the head at New Horizons as Shay was celebrating the start of her reign as MCW Women’s Champion; secondly, a literal blindside attack during the blindfold match at High Stakes, after Aysha broke the rules and removed her blindfold.
Quite clearly, Aysha isn’t playing fair in her quest to take the Women’s Championship out of Shay’s grasp, and she’s showing a ruthlessness that may just achieve that goal.
And in some ways, we get it – Aysha has come close to winning the title on numerous occasions before, but always ended up just short. If this is what she has to do to win, we may not respect her actions, but we do understand her motivations.
But Aysha should exercise caution, as she may be inadvertently turning the tide against her.
You see, while Shay comes across as the Girly Pop Sensation, you can’t forget that she’s a seriously accomplished wrestler. And she knows a lot of the shortcuts that Aysha is currently using, and she knows how to counteract them.
Which is why at Ballroom Brawl, both women are getting what they want – a one-on-one match. No gimmicks. No stipulations. Just a chance to show who really is the best.
Finally, either Shay Kassidy or Aysha will be able to definitively claim they are better than the other, and they’ll have the MCW Women’s Championship around their waist as tangible proof.
This is the match everyone has been waiting for, and we’re ready to see just how much both women want the victory.
