The Ballroom Brawl match is unique in many ways, but perhaps most of all in the way that numbers tell so much.
Here are the numbers you need to know for this year’s Ballroom Brawl match!
14 – This will be the 14th Ballroom Brawl match in MCW history; over the years it’s become the biggest event in the MCW year, and it’s not hard to see why!
119 – The number of competitors that have entered the Ballroom Brawl over the years; we’re sure to see that number increase this year with first time entrants like Nate Hunter, Jab, Murdoch, JJ Furno and Matty Romano already announced; but who else could we see enter for the first time? And let’s not forget those previous entrants who have gone onto international stardom; names like Robbie Eagles, Bronson Reed, Duke Hanson, Cassie Lee, Zaria, and Buddy Matthews.
5 – Don’t think that first time entrants can’t win either; we’ve seen it happen 5 times already – Danny Psycho in 2012, Carlo Cannon in 2013, Bronson Reed in 2017, Buddy Matthews in 2022, and Ricky South in 2024. Those debuts names mentioned above will have confidence that they can win thanks to that slice of history.
1 – The number that nobody wants to draw already has a name attached to it thanks to the events of High Stake; unfortunately Lucas Fantasia has to do it the hard way this year if he wants to win. But don’t forget, that was the same position Robbie Thorpe found himself in last year, and he ended up a winner. He’s not the only one too, as JXT won from the very start in 2018.
3:50 – When Duke Hanson won the Brawl in 2014, he did it in less than 4 minutes. That’s how quickly your fortunes could be made.
37:15 – Conversely, Robbie Thorpe took almost 40 minutes to win in 2025, thanks to that unlucky #1 number.
0 – There hasn’t yet been a multiple time winner in the Ballroom Brawl; will this be the year that changes thanks to the inclusion of Mr. Villani’s personal pick – 2016 Ballroom Brawl winner and former MCW World Champion Gino Gambino?
1:50:33 – The total amount of time Slex has spent in the Ballroom Brawl across 6 entries – the longest amount of time anyone single person has spent in the match, averaging over 18 minutes per Brawl. He didn’t waste his time either, scoring 14 eliminations and winning the match in 2023.
15 – The record number of eliminations, that’s shared by 2015 winner Tommy Hellfire and 2019 winner Adam Brooks.
17 – History says that’s the number you want to draw if you want to win; four previous winners have won from that number – Carlo Cannon in 2017, Bronson Reed in 2017, Adam Brooks in 2019, and Ricky South in 2024.
3 – 2019 was the only time we’ve seen a trio enter the Ballroom Brawl – none other than future Netflix stars Aunty Donna. They even got an elimination too, until Gino Gambino dispatched them with ease. We did come close last year though, when The Physical shared the #5 spot.
6 – The last six winners of the Ballroom Brawl have all gone on to win the MCW World Championship thanks to their Brawl win – Adam Brooks, Mitch Waterman, Buddy Matthews, Slex, Ricky South and of course our current MCW Champion Robbie Thorpe.
No matter what the numbers have in store for the 20 wrestlers competing in this year’s Ballroom Brawl, at the end they all want to be the last one remaining to get their chance at championship glory.
