For all the build-up, it was over in an instant.
One of the most anticipated matches at High Stakes was the bout between Edward Dusk and Rocky Menero. And when the Big Wheel spun up that the loser is out of the Ballroom Brawl match, that anticipation only grew.
But everyone was shocked when Menero won in only a minute, thanks to his quick and undetected use of brass knuckles to knockout Dusk and get the pin.

It may not have been what people were expecting, but Menero showed once again that he’ll do whatever it takes to get the win. And it meant that Dusk was out of the Ballroom Brawl, putting him further away from his stated goal of becoming MCW World Champion.
But if you thought that Menero was done with Dusk, you’d be wrong.
In a surprising move, Rocky has challenged Dusk to another match, this time in The Sacrament.
Yes, you read that right – Rocky wants to be in The Sacrament!
And to make things even more interesting, Rocky has used his MCW GM powers to add some big stakes to the match – if Dusk wins, he gets a match of his choosing – any person, any time; but if Rocky wins, Dusk is going to be kicked out of MCW for a while.
It’s an intriguing offer, and one that despite the doubts about Rocky’s trustworthiness, Dusk should consider. After all, this could get him back on track to claiming that MCW World Championship. And for what it’s worth, Rocky has promised Dusk that the ICON$ won’t interfere in the match.
But we can’t help wondering, has Menero gotten himself in over his head here?
We’ve seen the lengths Dusk will go to win in The Sacrament countless times before, and for 15 minutes, anything goes. No rules. No disqualifications. No respect.
Does the MCW GM have one last trick up his sleeve to counter the violence of The Sacrament and really send Dusk packing, or is the stage set for Dusk to get his ultimate revenge for being the victim of a cheap loss?
Ballroom Brawl 2025 is live from the Melbourne Pavilion on Saturday 5th July.
