Well, if there was a word to describe the final minutes of High Stakes, it can be only be chaos!
Following Caveman Ugg’s win over Tommy Knight in a Last Man Standing match to become the #1 Contender to the MCW World Championship, the two men embraced in a mutual display of respect, only for Jarvis and Robbie Thorpe to ruin everything.
Enter the ICON$ to take the advantage, followed by The Natural Classics and Delta to turn the tables.
So, now we see two distinct sides emerge – The ICON$ with Jarvis on one side, and Ugg, Tommy and the Classics on the other.
It’s not just a battle in the ring, but it’s a battle for the soul of MCW.
The ICON$ shockingly turned their back on the fans in order to seize power in MCW, and while you could say they corrupted Jarvis on the way, to be honest it wouldn’t have taken much corrupting to sway Jarvis.
And let’s be honest here, the ICON$ power is only matched by their success – Slex holds the World Championship, while Adam Brooks and MCW General Manager Rocky Menero hold the Tag Team Championship; while Jarvis is no stranger to holding gold himself and is the current Junior General Manager. So it would be a brave gambler to bet against this dominant faction.
Yet, there’s a feeling that we just can’t shake – are the ICON$ underestimating their opponents?
If they are, it might prove to be foolish, as the quartet of Knight, Ugg and the Filip brothers are just as accomplished as the ICON$.
All four men have held championship gold in MCW, all four men have the skills and experience to emerge winners, and all four men have the vocal support of the MCW faithful – and their fan support could be the difference maker here.
One thing we know – this is going to be the biggest battle we’ve seen in MCW for quite some time, and there will be no shortage of bad blood running through this match.
We really can’t wait!
