If you’ve been paying attention in recent months, you’ll know that there’s been quite a few new faces arrive in MCW. The youth movement is here, and at Anniversary, they’re getting a chance to shine, in a 6-Man Elimination Scramble match!
As the newest member of the ICON$, Lucky O’Leary should need no introduction, and while it took him quite a while to notch up his first MCW win, once he did, he quickly got on a roll with his victory over Jarvis at End Game.
Which interestingly, might make him the man to beat in this match. Quite the change from only a few short months ago.
Meanwhile, End Game also saw the return of Anth Cava, who very nearly won the battle royale to determine the #1 Contender to the Intercommonwealth Championship.
While he didn’t get the win, what he did prove was that he was still as accomplished and dangerous as he ever was, and with a renewed focus on climbing the MCW ladder, he’s a hard man to pick against.
That same battle royale also saw the MCW debuts of Owen Steadman, The Clydesdale and Kobe Reid, and all three showed that while they’ve built their reputations in other promotions, they really do belong in the MCW ring.
All three have something unique to offer, and after their strong showings at End Game, it’s no wonder that they’re back at Anniversary for a bigger chance to steal the spotlight.
We know that all three are going to grab this opportunity with everything they’ve got.
Finally, we also see the MCW debut of Thirteen. Now, with eleven years of experience, he’s hardly a rookie, but the Queensland mainstay will show that an appearance in MCW is long overdue. The MCW Faithful will finally see what the QLD fans already know – Thirteen is the real deal.
A scramble match is unpredictable at the best of times, but with these six men, the unpredictability factor is even higher; and this could be the first chapter in a longer 2025 story for all six men.
