We’ve known he’s been on the rise for quite some time, but 2025 saw Robbie Thorpe get some truly huge wins – the Ballroom Brawl, the sole survivor of the Fight to Survive match. And then to finish the year at End Game, he gets the biggest win of his career becoming the MCW World Heavyweight Champion!
There is no doubt that the Thorpe Era has begun!
But as good as Thorpe is, being a champion is a whole different ball game. As a former Intercommonwealth Champion, Thorpe knows this, but when you’re THE champion, that constant vigilance you must maintain is amplified tenfold.
Every single man in the MCW locker room is out to get you, and Thorpe is going to quickly understand that the man at the top is often also the loneliest man.
But maybe this doesn’t actually apply to Thorpe. The one thing that Thorpe can fall back on is that he does have some very powerful allies, and with MCW General Manager Rocky Menero by his side, he’s got quite a bit of power that he can call on.
But could Thorpe’s reign end as quickly as it started?
Facing him at Anniversary is a man who not only knows how to beat him, but also holds the most recent victory over Thorpe in an MCW ring.
You could say that Jarvis has had a pretty special 2025 too – not only did he beat Thorpe at High Stakes, but he also claimed victories over Menero and Tommy Knight.
Now he’s ready to take a step up and face Thorpe again in the ring, this time with the biggest possible prize on the line.
Jarvis has proved that he has talent – he’s a former double champion remember – and this past year showed that he has the heart to dig deep to find a way to win against even the biggest opponents.
Plus it’s a sure bet that he’s going to have the MCW faithful on his side at the Thornbury Theatre – we know just what a difference maker that can be.
