They both came so close to claiming the ultimate prize, but their disappointment only fuels their hunger for revenge.
We’ve said a lot about Edward Dusk over the last year or so – he’s had a burning desire to become the MCW World Heavyweight Champion; he’s proven time and time again that he has the skills to do so, and he’s not only earned the MCW faithful’s support, but also their respect.
So, when someone has come so close to getting what they crave, only to fall short at the final moment, how do they bounce back? It’s said that the true test of a champion mindset isn’t how they handle the good times, but how they handle the bad.
One thing we know for sure is that Edward Dusk is resilience personified – just look to his epic battles in The Sacrament for proof.

But while his next test could be thought of as a chance to reset and get back on track, we think it’s going to be something a little tougher, thanks to the person on the other side of the ring.
Matt Hayter wears the Official Ego label with pride. He knows he’s great, and he won’t hold back in telling anyone. But here’s the thing, he might just be as good as he says he is.
He’s won numerous championships in his native Adelaide, and now he’s determined to make his mark on the national stage. And what better way to do that than by beating one of Melbourne’s very best?
And the thing is, they have history; history that Hayter wants to erase.
If we go back to June 2024, over in Wrestle Rampage in Adelaide, Dusk and Hayter met one-on-one before. That time, it was Dusk who emerged victorious, which is all the fuel Hayter needs to show what he already believes – that he’s the better man.
Revenge. Retribution. Redemption. Resurrection.
Whatever the motivation, this is going to be a match that could define both men’s 2026, and it’s one that you don’t want to miss.
Don’t miss Anniversary when we return to the Thornbury Theatre on Saturday 21st February.
